The Linux Open Source Sound Project (L.O.S.S.) aims to encourage and promote music created with open source software and the Linux operating system.
The L.O.S.S. project consists of two main elements, a CD release (January 2006) and this website.
This website is a music repository and forum where people can post their open source audio works and decsriptions of their work. Visitors can also add comments here, to discuss the music, the tools and the techniques.
If you want to find out more about the L.O.S.S. project or contribute your own music, read About L.O.S.S.
The L.O.S.S. project is coordinated by Access Space, and funded by Arts council England, Yorkshire, the PRS Foundation, and Digital South Yorkshire.
